Caravan at Dodman
Bike Shed
Matt and I enjoyed the challenge of constructing our new Bike Shed on the drive at the Rectory in St Mawes.
Getting ANAM CARA ready for Charters
Now the boat is on the water again, there are still lots of jobs to get her up to chartering standard. Lois and Matt both ascend
the mast to help fix the anemometer. A new sprayhood is fitted and Rueben comes for an inspection!

Eden Project
Lois and I had a great day out visiting the Eden Project near St Austell. It was my first time there and I was suitably impressed. I think my favourite was the temperate zone. As it was a cold winter day it was certainly better to be inside and the tropical zone was very warm! The displays and educational side of it all was very impressive, particularly the focus on the environment and ecology.
Coding Anam Cara
During the winter of 2009 / 2010 our Sadler 29, ANAM CARA of St Mawes, was laid up at Pascos Boatyard on the bar at St Just Creek. We had a long list of jobs to do to get the boat 'coded' for commercial chartering and Serendipity Sailing. A lot of the work involved purchasing and installing extra safety equipment such as a liferaft, flares and lifebuoys. Major jobs were fitting a new cooker and installing a stainless steel surround for the galley, also we had to line the engine compartment with fire-resistant insulation. I was assisted by Matt Eaves and Gordon Scott.
Walk at St Anthony's Head
In February we had a great family walk at St Anthony's Head. Although we were wrapped up well it was a lovely day and proved that the beach is not just for the summer. It was one of our first trips to the beach with Rueben, the first of many!
